About Me

My name is Micah.

My early childhood was a bit shaky. I was sick and starving. Those who were in a position to help cared more about politics than the welfare of children. Maybe this is why I have no confidence in bureaucracies and so called “authorities”. I decided to leave society behind and become a mountain man at the ripe age of six. Then I started reading stories about how the government has persecuted those who have tried to live such a life over the last century. I began to understand that true freedom is illegal. I was scheming anyway.

I became a follower of Jesus at age 11, and have tried to submit to worldly rulers so far as it did not conflict with what God would have me do. This has become more and more difficult over time. The societal collapse and moral degeneracy is impossible for an observant person to miss. Corruption is rubbed in our faces in an attempt to incite violence, but the state is far more capable of wielding violence than we are. When Bill Mollison was in court to give a legal definition for permaculture, the judge asked if he was ok with “design science” as the definition. Mollison told him “I would prefer sedition, but that will do”.

I learned about food freedom from Mollison, Geoff Lawton, Paul Wheaton, and Nick Ferguson. I learned about health freedom through food freedom, soil health, Natasha Campbell-McBride, and Sally Fallon-Morell. I learned about social permaculture and statist jiujutsu from Allen Savory and Jack Spirko. I still have a lot to learn. Come learn with me as I move toward building the future I want for my children.
